Automation Engineer
We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Automation Engineer to join our growing team in Le-Bourget-du-Lac, where you’ll have the chance to work on cutting-edge automation projects in a hybrid setting. Key Responsibilities:
System Design & Integration:
-
Develop and configure Beckhoff and Schneider Electric automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, to meet project requirements.

Design and implement control system architectures for industrial applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing equipment and processes.
Programming & Configuration:
-
Program PLCs using Beckhoff TwinCAT and Schneider Electric Unity Pro/EcoStruxure platforms.

Develop and configure Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for efficient operator interaction and process control.

Create and manage SCADA systems and other automation-related solutions for real-time monitoring and control.
Testing & Troubleshooting:

Conduct thorough system testing and commissioning to ensure all systems function optimally.

Diagnose and resolve faults and technical issues within control systems, ensuring minimal disruption.
Documentation & Reporting:

Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including system specifications, design drawings, and programming files.

Provide regular project updates and detailed reports on timelines, progress, and deliverables.
Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.

Provide on-the-ground technical support to end-users, ensuring their operational needs are efficiently addressed.
Continuous Improvement:

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in automation technologies, particularly Beckhoff and Schneider Electric products.

Recommend system enhancements to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Qualifications:
Experience:
-
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT and Schneider Electric automation tools (Unity Pro, EcoStruxure, etc.).

Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.

Proven experience troubleshooting and developing automation solutions in industrial environments.
Skills:

Expertise in Beckhoff TwinCAT programming and Schneider Electric PLC programming (e.g., Unity Pro, EcoStruxure).

Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, EtherCAT, and OPC.

Knowledge of automation-related safety standards and best practices (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 61131-3).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation challenges.
Certifications (Preferred):

Certification in Beckhoff TwinCAT or Schneider Electric automation tools is a plus.

Additional training in industrial automation or control systems would be beneficial.
