We are partnering with one of Europe’s largest Insurance Groups, renowned for its global reach and strong presence across Europe, with its European HQ based in Paris. With IT teams in locations such as France, Belgium, UK, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, the USA, and Malaysia, they are expanding their IT Security division. The organization has ambitious security plans for the year and is seeking a Cybersecurity Encryption Specialist to enhance their capabilities in encryption technology. Glocomms has worked with this client for over three years, successfully placing more than 50 external contractors, many within the IT Security team. Now, they are reaching out to the external freelance market to add more encryption expertise to their workforce.

About the Role
As a Cybersecurity Encryption Specialist, you will play a critical role in executing day-to-day encryption activities using Thales CipherTrust Security Manager (CTM) and Luna HSM Technology. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the encryption platform, maintaining high standards of performance, resilience, and security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company’s broader security goals. You’ll be an integral part of the team, optimizing encryption use cases, managing platform performance, and addressing any security issues. In this role, you’ll have the chance to work on cutting-edge encryption technologies while contributing to the overall security and integrity of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Thales CipherTrust Security Manager (CTM) and Luna HSM, ensuring performance, resilience, and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).

  • Manage the onboarding process of new encryption applications, ensuring they align with security protocols and meet platform requirements.

  • Continuously monitor the encryption platform, identify issues or incidents, and resolve them swiftly to maintain a smooth operational flow.

  • Handle integrations with tools and products such as Privileged Account Management, SIEM, Patching, and Virtual Hosts Console to ensure seamless connectivity with the encryption platform.

  • Provide hands-on support for migration activities, as well as technical sessions and troubleshooting to drive the success of encryption initiatives.

  • Actively identify potential security risks and incompatibilities, proposing effective solutions to maintain or improve platform security.

  • Support the definition, study, and deployment of new encryption features or use cases, ensuring that they meet evolving security standards.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to track incidents, change management processes, and incident reports, contributing to the improvement of encryption services.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in encryption technologies, specifically with Thales CipherTrust and Luna HSM Technology.

  • Strong background in encryption platform management, including platform performance optimization, integration support, and troubleshooting.

  • A deep understanding of security policies and best practices in cybersecurity, particularly in the area of encryption.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English; French is a plus.

  • While certifications are not required, any relevant training in Agile Methodology, IT Security, or Encryption Technologies will enhance your application.
