A market dominator in the cloud native, single unified platform cyber security market, are seeking a Sales Engineer to join their high performing, DACH presales team, specialising in their third party risk solutions. The role centres around being the link between the pre-sales customers and the sales team. In the role you will be responsible for the technical aspect of the relationship, and articulate technical information to the customers by any means necessary; onsite, online or via phone. Candidates for this role can be based in either, Germany or the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the sales process, working closely with other units of the business; direct sales, channel team
- Build and develop relationships with customers, prospects, and partners on the technical and executive side
- Bridge the gap between the sales team and their pre-sales customers
- Lead RFP response in coordination with Product/Engineering teams
- Have a clear and sharp analysis of the technical objectives for the implementation of the product
- Advise the customer on the best ways to use the product
- Ensure customer's satisfaction and success
- Provide feedback from prospects/customers to refine products and services
- Lead POC evaluations
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the cyber security space, with focus to GRC solutions, vendor risk management solutions
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of cyber security threat landscape, including current cyber attack strategies/defence tactics
- Understanding of IT Risk Frameworks; ISO, CMMC, NIST
- Experience speaking to C-Level individuals of a business
- Ability to adapt to technical and executive audience
- Ability to understand the customer's issues and to offer them the relevant solutions
- Ability to lead RFP and RFI responses
- Ability to travel and meet clients in designated regions
- Excellent team working skills
- Knowledge of full sales process, from concept to close
- Comfort working under specific time frames, and ability to meet deadlines
- Tenacity to handle and combat rejections, and continue with positive mindset
- Fluent in German reading, speaking and writing
