Role: Software Engineering Manager
Location: McLean, Virginia [onsite]
Compensation: $100,000-$190,000
We've partnered with a Fortune 500 company, a dominating leader in the intelligence industry (no missiles involved). They're working on creating new technologies that can make transportation more safe, efficient, and eco-friendly, offering various services to help with the implementation and deployment that connect vehicles to infrastructure.
We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager who's excited to be in a fast-paced environment where you can work with state and local DOTs and CAV technology vendors, as well as lead a team of developers.
Engineering life cycle activities will include detailed software design, coding, unit testing, automated test planning and development, software integration, configuration management, version control, system testing, user documentation, customer interaction, and team management.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant fields
- Hands-on experience with Java and/or C++
- Strong knowledge of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) and V2X (Vehicle-to-Technology)
- 3+ years experience in managing teams
- 8+ years of prior relevant experience; Master's Degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience
- Proficient in creating, maintaining, and operating applications using SQL and NoSQL
- Familiarity with communication protocols (i.e. TCP, UDP, SNMP)
