Senior Cloud Security Engineer
A leading global wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join its growing cloud security function. This position plays a vital role in managing the security of complex, multi-cloud environments by identifying, evaluating, and driving remediation of cloud vulnerabilities.
In this role, you'll work across cloud platforms to detect misconfigurations, assess exposure to evolving threats, and develop controls to protect critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-native security, automation, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance the organization's overall cloud defense strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure for vulnerabilities, configuration issues, and deviations from security best practices using advanced security tools.
- Work closely with cyber threat intelligence and red teaming units to evaluate findings and recommend effective remediation strategies.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud security policies and controls.
- Analyze false positives and evaluate risk acceptance scenarios to ensure business-aligned security decisions.
- Establish enforcement mechanisms including remediation timelines and automated guardrails to prevent risk introduction.
- Act as a subject matter expert during security incidents, supporting investigations and reporting efforts.
- Fine-tune scanning platforms for accuracy, performance, and visibility improvements.
- Lead automation initiatives to streamline detection, triage, and remediation workflows.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in cloud security, vulnerability assessment, or cybersecurity operations.
- In-depth knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including security frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with CNAPP, CSPM, or CWPP solutions such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Aqua, Tenable, or Qualys.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating security operations.
- Understanding of Kubernetes security and containerized environments is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong desire to stay informed on emerging threats and cloud security trends.
