A major Financial Services client is seeking a dedicated Senior Associate to join the Cloud Security team in the sector located in McLean, VA. This permanent role is geared towards an individual passionate about protecting organizational assets through advanced cyber security measures, specifically focusing on Cloud Security, CNAPP, and containers. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in developing comprehensive cyber security protocols to ensure that all data interactions in the cloud are secured and compliant with the latest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage cloud security solutions, including but not limited to configuring firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols to protect sensitive financial data. This will require a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential security threats in a cloud environment, as well as maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements.
• Analyze and improve existing CNAPP processes by assessing current application security frameworks and enhancing threat detection and response strategies. The role involves regular review and auditing of security processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as adaptation to new or evolving security challenges.
• Develop secure containerization strategies for software deployment, focusing on robust isolation techniques to prevent unauthorized access and vulnerabilities. The candidate will be expected to leverage the latest in container technology and security practices to design and implement solutions that ensure high levels of security and operational efficiency.

Skills and Expertise:

• Cloud Security: Safeguarding data stored online from theft, leakage, and deletion using various technologies and processes. This involves continuous monitoring and adapting to new threats in a dynamic digital environment. Candidates will need to demonstrate a thorough understanding of cloud architecture and the specific security challenges it presents.
• CNAPP (Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform): Integrating security throughout the development lifecycle of cloud-native applications. This includes the implementation of secure coding practices, regular security audits, and continuous compliance checks. Applicants should show expertise in CNAPP tools and methodologies, as well as a strong grasp of DevSecOps principles.
• Containers: Ensuring the security of containerized applications by managing isolation and limiting host system impact.
