Company Overview:
Our client is a leading company in the insurance sector that are looking to expand their Azure cloud offering. As part of a 12-month project, the company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their dynamic team and drive the development and optimization of their cloud-based data architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable, reliable, and secure data architectures on Azure.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines while ensuring efficiency and performance on the Azure cloud platform.
- Leverage Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks) to enhance and expand the cloud data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to integrate and manage data from multiple sources, including structured and unstructured data formats.
- Maintain clear documentation of processes, architectures, and pipelines for transparency and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or similar role
- At least 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data-related roles.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Advanced proficiency in data modeling, ETL pipeline design, and data warehousing.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, etc.
