Their commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction drives their success, and they are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of LTL to lead their Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) department.

Job Summary

The Vice President of LTL will be responsible for overseeing the LTL operations, managing relationships with freight carriers, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. This role requires a deep understanding of LTL logistics, strong leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset to drive efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the LTL department, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize LTL operations, cost management, and service performance

  • Build and maintain relationships with freight carriers, negotiating contracts and service agreements

  • Oversee account management, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

  • Analyze performance metrics and market trends to drive continuous improvement in LTL services

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align LTL operations with broader business objectives

  • Develop and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the LTL department

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in LTL logistics, freight management, or transportation operations

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior management role within the logistics industry

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing carrier relationships

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive operational improvements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strategic mindset

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in logistics management software and data analytics tools
