Position Title: Application Engineer - Education and Indirect Channel
Role Overview:
The Application Engineer for Education and Indirect Channels will be the primary technical advisor within the Professional Services team, supporting educational institutions and distribution partners. Utilizing industry knowledge and expertise, the Application Engineer will help these organizations maximize the potential of advanced software solutions to enhance both practical and theoretical learning experiences.
Additionally, this role will bridge the gap between Sales and Professional Services, contributing to key educational initiatives, the growth of new and existing channel partners, and empowering customers through consulting, coaching, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Education and Channel teams to optimize opportunities during pre-sale phases.
- Onboard new and existing educational institutions, enabling students to integrate the software into their academic and practical coursework.
- Develop and maintain training materials and enablement resources for educational institutions and distribution networks.
- Provide onsite coaching and consulting to new and current customers, showcasing the software's capabilities.
- Represent the company at trade shows and local markets to increase awareness of the software's benefits.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience using CAE tools for electrical designs, with preference given to candidates familiar with similar software.
- Inquisitive, problem-solving nature with the ability to promote and sell technical products, ideas, and services.
- Experience in system integration, manufacturing, or working with higher education institutions is highly desirable.
- Solid IT and application skills, including network solutions, Windows Server, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent networking, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to influence decision-making at various levels within an organization.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work closely with regional sales and market management teams.
Additional Information:
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on an unrestricted basis; visa sponsorship is not available. The role requires travel up to 50% of the time. Working hours are Monday through Friday.
