Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead their sales efforts and play a pivotal role in their growth strategy. This is a "player-coach" position, requiring an individual who is equally comfortable managing a team as engaging directly with clients and closing deals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience selling SaaS solutions to oil and gas companies, a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, and the leadership skills to inspire and build a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team of 4-6 direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share in the oil and gas sector.
Business Development: Actively engage with key clients and prospects, manage relationships with decision-makers, and close high-value deals.
Team Expansion: Support the growth of the Dallas office by onboarding and developing a top-tier sales team in the region.
Quota Management: Carry a personal sales quota while setting clear, measurable goals for the sales team.
Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, client needs, and competitive developments to refine the go-to-market strategy.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and deliver exceptional client experiences.
Qualifications:
Experience: 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years selling SaaS solutions to oil and gas companies.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing and scaling sales teams, with demonstrated ability to lead by example.
Results-Oriented: Consistent achievement of personal and team sales targets.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the oil and gas sector, including its unique challenges and opportunities.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Location: Based in Dallas, with regular travel to Houston and other key markets as needed.
